From D-Day forward, every Canadian tank platoon had at least 1 Firefly, if not 2. They were an impressive platform. One Canadian Firefly knocked out 6 Panthers in minutes on the first day of the Battle of Normandy. The commander and crew received no special recognition as the commanding general stated they were only doing their duty.
